I'm back, from a long week in Scottsdale, AZ, for a trade show (Destination Playstation). Had 15 meetings with accounts, and am exhausted. Slept 12 hours last night, and still feel like I could do 12 more. But it was great to also see so many industry friends, and even got to make a few new ones. Also got to try the new Playstation Move (like the Wii, but better!), and Gran Turismo 5 and MLB 10: The Show were both playable in 3D (which was really impressive, and has me considering picking up one of those TVs at some point in the future (they hit this summer sometime)). And, I also got to see The Brian Setzer Orchestra, who was the featured entertainment on Wednesday night. I saw him in 1997 in Greeley, and he put on a hell of a show. The ticket was only a buck (with UNC student ID). Then I saw him this week, for free, and even though he's now in his 50's, he still destroyed live. Got to shake his hand at the end of the set, and I feel like I should've slipped him the ten dollar bill I had in my wallet. Seeing him twice for only a dollar feels like I've ripped him off. Be sure to make a point of seeing him live if you never have. It doesn't matter what kind of music you like; you'll enjoy yourself at his show.
Hope you are all doing well...
