The Omaha Children's Hospital is trying to put Lord Bling out of a job

Ryan, did they study you in this 'research?' Did you remind them that you were born with a meat cleaver in one hand, and a bottle of scotch in the other?

I won't spend a lot of time proselytizing on this subject. Obviously, I not only play a lot of video games; they also put food on my table. So, you should already know where I stand. Fortunately, the article I linked to mentions that parents need to be more involved, and I couldn't agree more. The government has no business intervening here, because no politician can tell you how to keep your child entertained. However, these little 'studies' keep adding up in the media. What I'd like to know is, why do we never get to see who funds the research? The PMRC?

I hope that people eventually come around on this topic. Spending your free time doing nothing but locking yourself in a room and doing one thing over and over again is anti-social behavior, and can change the way someone looks at the outside world. But I don't think people are going to come around any time soon. At least, it won't happen until something worse takes people's minds off of it. It worked for books, movies, and television. Will text messaging be next? ROFL OMG BRB!

Take an active role in your child's life, or else the government might do it for you.

I am going to have to agree here. Everyone should take a more active role in their children's life, in any way shape or form. Anything is better than nothing.

I also play video games, my children and I play together often, it is one thing my children look forward to. My dad never played games with me. I wanted him to, but he never would. I am taking that example as what not to do. I strive to be a better father than my own, and to provide better for my children than I had. Providing better does not always mean more money, it means better well being. And for that, I am doing fine.

We also enjoy frisbee golf, golf, camping and other stuff, but in the winter time, Bring on the games baby!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHA,

Wow. That story is a piece of crap, as is that psychologist's opinion. The term quantum leap in logic comes to mind. Has he even read any of the research?
