Top 20 Metalocalypse Moments (Season 1)

First of all, Happy New Year to all you freaks. I found this on YouTube today and thought you'd all appreciate it. Consider it my Xmas present (and yes, I purposefully took the 'Christ' out of 'Christmas' just to piss off any holier-than-thou types who might accidentally end up here). Here are the top 20 moments from the Adult Swim cartoon 'Metalocalypse':

You don't have to like heavy metal to appreciate the humor in the show, but if you do, you'll catch some inside jokes here and there. Season 1 is available on DVD at most retailers, or you can get it HERE.

Baiting Christians...What a brilliant way to demonstrate you maturity and intelligence. Why couldn't I think of that? The best idea I could come up with was to try and set an example by being tolerant and respecting the fact that not everyone believes as I do...Guess I should be more creative.

By the way, I'm not sure how attempting to piss of holier-than-thou types amounts to baiting all Christians.

It seems to me that comments like that insinuate that people who hold beliefs different from the writer are worthy of derision. Keep in mind that some people who have strong personal beliefs on a given topic keep them that way...personal...and don't demand that others espouse the same views. Don't expect those same people to feel endeared toward someone who labels them as "holier than thou" and announces the intention to purposefully piss them off. Maybe the intent was not baiting all Christians, but sometimes one pisses off more people than one thinks.

The Church of the Athiests? How is that baiting Christians? I took it as more of a joke against athiests. And the Christian metal concert? I think they were baiting people who like shitty Christian metal, but maybe that's just me. And there is good Christian metal out there too ... I own quite a few albums by bands like Living Sacrifice, Zao, Soul Embraced, etc. Check out some of the bands on the record label Tooth and Nail. But like all genres of art, there are talented artists, but there are a lot more hacks.

I don't think anything on Metalocalypse comes even close to the blasphemy on shows like South Park. Now, I realize that that might not be much of a defense, but let's be honest here ... we're talking about a show about death metal.
